Halloween… Trick or treat? There’s more to it these days! It’s no longer just an excuse for kids to dress up and terrorise the hood as they top up on enough E-numbers to last them till Christmas … Now, it’s also a bloody great excuse for adults to join in and show them how it’s done! And so, when a father and son werewolf combo – a mini-pack – descended in an unsuspecting industrial town in the Midlands, I just had to let go of my fear, get snappy and take a few shots. One has to wonder: Where are they heading to, what are they looking for? But most importantly: what the hell is in those suitcases? Is this the Halloween version of the movie ’Pursuit of Happiness’ with Will Smith & his son? It was a cold, misty evening and a full-moon (of course), I followed my new fury friends into the local park and nearby church. The locals were only slightly bemused. Later that evening when the very dapper Papa Wolf and yours truly rocked up at the local, the Town Talk, things got even more interesting. Following a quick call to his Saville Row tailor, the razor-fanged, crazily coifed funkster quite literally tore up the bar. When a werewolf dons his Elvis glasses you know you’re in for a big night, howling at the moon after eight pints of Guinness! He was last seen walking through Abbey Green in the rain with an Indian menu in his hand…. Happy Halloween!
