Ah … la Belgique, België, Belgien … such a wonderful place, with wonderful people making wonderful beer, frites, chocolate, waffles and many other yummy things. They are also absolutely crazy about cycling! Isabelle & Johan are part of this magical Belgium mix and I was honoured to capture the wedding day they had been so long waiting for. On the day we woke up to discover a magic white snow carpet (not what one would expect at the end of March), the temperature was just keeping it’s head above zero, but nothing could spoil Bellie & Jo’s day. The ceremony took place in the nicely renovated town hall in Meulebeke where friends and family joined the celebration. Afterwards we were invited for some cava at the town hall before heading out to the venue D’oude Koestal for yet another reception and to get warmed up. How Belgian. However, I wasn’t going to let the cold weather and icy wind get in the way of some outside shots as there were some interesting scenes to work with. We had to be quick but we got some shots in front of this amazing looking abandoned church and a wall near the car park that looked like something from a movie set.
